FUSIAN x Daniel Wright

COLLAB Series | The Wright Roll for The Right Reason

We’ve teamed up with Daniel Wright, chef/owner behind beloved Cincinnati restaurants Senate, Abigail Street, and Pontiac BBQ to create The Wright Roll.

“We’ve been talking for years about a collaboration with the guys at FUSIAN… Working with their creative team has been an absolute blast. It was an honor to collaborate with them on this project… I hope everyone loves what we came up with,” says Wright.

The roll features unique, house-prepared ingredients like beet-cured salmon and miso-ponzu cream cheese in addition to hand selected FUSIAN ingredients rice, cucumber, green onion, avocado and jalapeño all rolled into a soy wrap. The inspired roll is then topped with everything bagel spice and sweet soy sauce.

Nick Rivet, our lead chef, worked closely with Wright to develop the roll, “It has a little bit of everything. It’s sweet, salty, crunchy, creamy, and savory. I especially love the beet cured salmon. The beet and fennel add an earthiness to the roll which helps balance flavor and adds amazing color. I have always admired what Daniel does with food, and this is no exception. It’s been wonderful working with him”.

The partnership will benefit the Freestore Foodbank, a Cincinnati based non-profit with 250 community partner agencies which aims to provide food and services, create stability and further self reliance for people in the tri-state area. The Freestore provides more than 20 million meals annually to hungry children and families in our community.

Our collab series offers exclusive and unique menu items, developed in partnership with local culinary talent, to build and support the communities they operate in. “Relationships thrive when everyone benefits,” said Stephan Harman, Co-founder of FUSIAN, "Cincinnati has given us so much, this is our way to get creative, have a little fun, and give back all at the same time… everyone is a winner!”

The Wright roll will be available in our three Cincinnati locations (Downtown, Hyde Park and Kenwood) during the months of February and March. We will donate $1 from each roll to Freestore Foodbank which translates to 3 meals for those at risk of hunger in our community. This is our third collaboration in the series. Previous participants include Quan Hapa benefitting Cincinnati Public Schools and Dayton-based Olive assisting Dayton’s Crayons to Classrooms.
